Limited companies - disclosure of information
Limited companies in the UK should be aware of new rules regarding the disclosure of company information, which came into force today following an update to the Companies Act 1985.
Broadly, these require that company emails and any company website show certain details about the company, such as the full company name, registered office address, registration number, country of registration and VAT number.
It is not necessary to show this information on every page of a website. Most websites include all of the information once, on an ‘About Us’ or ‘Legal Information’ page.
